Nic Ma (b.2005, Hong Kong) is an artist whose practice originates in photography and investigates both the ontology of the photographic medium and the contemporary cultural and political landscape of Hong Kong. Through processes of rephotography, digital reconstruction, and projection, the work operates as a conceptual framework to examine how ideology, perception, and history intersect with representation. He is currently studying a BA in Photography at the University of Westminster, London. His practice is informed by critical research and conceptual inquiry.
